ALADINO REVIEW – CALIFORNIA

Summary:  Starting out pleasant with hay and red pepper on the retro hale.  An inch in, the burn and ash are nearly flawless, though the flavors have become muted.

Second third and I'm getting absolutely nothing in the flavor department.  I wondered if my palate was screwed up, but I took a sip of water and tasted that so I'm good.  Some faint baking spices offer a few rays of light.  At least I can say that I put my lighter away because this thing is burning like a champ.  Maybe some cream, but I'm reaching.  I don't have a yard that would prompt a yard gar during maintenance, but I think that I'd want more than just a great burning stick while pulling weeds.

Final third.  Still a little spice and sweetness on the retro hale.

ALADINO REVIEW – WISCONSIN

Summary:  This cigar started out with cereal grain, nuts, light earthiness, generic tobacco, and a nice sweetness. The smoke was almost buttery, which is a weird thing to write out. As it went along, it added cedar, coffee, slight pepper, and baking spices to the mix.

The draw and burn were both ideal throughout. Not a single issue, and the flavors were right up my alley and on point. A smooth, well-balanced cigar.

If You Like That, You Might Like This:  A bowl of cereal in the morning.

Pairing Suggestion:  Cappuccino.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend:  Box.

ALADINO REVIEW – OREGON

Summary:  The wrapper of this cigar smells sort of like burned sugar cookies... but not so burned that are black, just burned enough to be crunchy. The cold draw has perfect resistance and tastes like sourdough bread.

Vanilla, fresh oak, tart fruitiness, and a creamy texture start things out handsomely.  There’s a slight sweetness lingering in the mix as well as it finishes. The retro hale is all cinnamon raisin cookies, creamy coffee, hints at toffee and some white pepper.

Moving towards the middle, no disappointment.  Sweet cream, cedar, toffee and strangely, a hint of hickory on the palate.  The retro hale remains smooth with creamy cinnamon, mild coffee and while the pepper spice is diminished, it’s still present in the finish.

Mechanically, my cigar is an A+.  Lots of smoke and a razor sharp, straight burn.

The final portion of this stick remains excellent.  Bran cereal, wood notes, creamy coffee, and a mild floral note all combine for greatness.  There is more floral fullness in the retro hale, but it’s still very smooth.

If You Like That, You Might Like This:  Contemplating your next cigar purchase.

Pairing Suggestion:  Cortada in the morning, espresso stout in the evening.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend:  Box purchase all the way.

I love the Corojo Reserva from Aladino and currently enjoying the Connecticut they have out.
