Happy Monday, folks!  

Today, I’m headed into the Small Batch Headquarters (Maxamar Ultimate Cigars) in Orange, California. I’ll be here for a few days getting a Behind the Scenes view, and I wanted to extend my experience to all of our readers.  And, if you're in town please stop by and say Hello! 

Do you have any questions about Small Batch or for the Crew?

If you didn’t know, I write the Daily Batch from outside California – most of the time from 2,500-7,500 miles away.  This will be my first time to visit California as well as the amazing Small Batch Crew that make everything happen on the daily. 

I know that I’m super curious to see the SBC Operations and how packages always ship same day.  Maybe I’ll find Santa Claus chained in a closet somewhere with tubes running the length of his body to extract his magic for daily use.  

I also can’t wait to meet the crew and see what they’re like.  These are the heroes that make our cigar dreams come true, and it’s a bit like visiting Willy Wonka at the Chocolate Factory. 

And Mondays!?  I’ve heard they’re a beast with USPS being closed on Sunday!  I. Can’t. Wait. To see it all in person!

Have you ever considered doing a custom blended cigar/collaboration that is chosen by your customers? For example, Buffalo Trace did a "Craft Your Perfect Bourbon" with a bunch of different questions on an interactive website. Then they released the Weller CYPB. Which was essentially chosen by blending a bourbon that fit the majority of people's palates. Just an idea, I don't think anyone has done anything like that before.

I would like to know how many people pack the orders, because there always correct, packed consistently well and shipped out very fast. How do they decide what brands to carry? I love there selections, but would love if they carried some more like: Southern Draw, Protocol, Blackbird, Isabela and Stolen Throne, then I would only need one place to shop online.

What goes into the decision for you guys on whether or not a brand is brought into your inventory? You guys have a killer selection of big name and not so big names, and some brands that I didn’t know of till I found your site.

Why don't you sell singles?  If it is an issue of some customers will only buy two or three, then why don't you make it a 5 single minimum order?

Does the team envision expanding their online presence in the future through mediums like YouTube or podcasts?

I am curious about 2 things. 1. What is the total volume of cigars small batch sends out on average every week? 2. How many spots for the $30 and $50 cigar of the month clubs are there? The $50 said it started with 100 is that still the case?

1) Most underrated brand they carry.
2) What is one thing they are trying to improve?
3) Any plans to relocate for any reason?
Just tell the people of Small Batch how much we love them and how happy they make us (and broke) and how much we appreciate them. Super fast shipping, awesome selection, great prices what more could you ask for?

I was wondering if SmallBatch will ever have some merch (koozies) for purchase? Also I’m from Northern Virginia and like to support my local guy Omar with Fratello, any chance y’all will carry that brand in the future?

If you are out-of-stock on a box of a given cigar, but have sufficient 5-pack stock of the same cigar, will you sell the equivalent box count of 5-packs for the same price as the box?
