Luciano Cigars (formerly called ACE Prime) "has created a cigar designed to be paired with hearty red wines with higher tannin levels. To do this, the company adapted a chemistry kit to test for the pH levels in the tobaccos being considered for the blend and then selecting ones that would complement the pH levels of the wine."

LUCIANO MAS IGNEUS REVIEW – DOM
Summary: While the draw isn’t necessarily tight, this cigar is packed to the max with tobacco. Peanuts, sweet pea flowers, and pencil shavings (not a pretentious note because I'm a teacher) make a peculiar combination. Root beer bottle cap candy (potentially pretentious) gives the smoke some pizzazz and chalkiness. Though it hasn't reached flavor bomb status, earthy coffee, Mexican chocolate, and orange relax my palate with warming, recognizable flavors. I'd happily smoke this cigar again with a drink in my hand and football on the TV.

LUCIANO MAS IGNEUS REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought notes of leather, cherry, cereal grain, oak, earth, cream, cinnamon, brown sugar, caramel, and a nice bit of spice throughout. I found it to be a delightful collection of flavors, and the spice really tied the room together.
The burn and draw were both good; construction was on point.

LUCIANO MAS IGNEUS REVIEW – BEN
Summary: The Inaugural puff immediately smells like autumn; tastes like it too. Dried fruit and charred oak on the 1’s and 2’s for most of the first half but then the baking spice strolls in. The combination of the three tastes is ‘warm and fuzzy.’ Second half welcomes walnuts, a lot of sweet tobacco notes, and whiffs of floral on the nose. Much more flavor for the size than I expected. Got it down to the nub.

LUCIANO MAS IGNEUS REVIEW – TED
Summary: Man, we’ve been in Robusto heaven lately. This week is more of the same. This stick has a very dark wrapper, is quite firmly packed, and has some cherry notes on the cold draw.
It’s a heavy mixture of dark earth, umami, black pepper, coffee, and dark fruit. A solid start but the power is ringing the bell early.
Middle is still a dark, heavy combo of earth, umami, pepper, nuts, and leather. Smoke output is meager too meaning the overall feel of strength has diminished.
End section is bringing a bit of sweetness to a profile built with dark fruits, cinnamon, earth, roasted nuts, and dark toast. Again, bell ringing strength for me in the end.

Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
