Accidents happy every day, and most of the time they are frustrating, tragic, or frustratingly tragic events in our lives. But every now and then, when the stars align just right, a turn of events creates the perfect storm for an accident to become one of the most sought after cigars in recent history: the Warped Black Honey.
How was Warped Black Honey made
The story goes that Jose, our fateful hero, accidentally got the recipe wrong when rolling La Colmena Unico Especiales, an already infamous line from the past. Jose, the one person that can craft Belicosos at El Titan de Bronze, slightly tweaked the blend and applied an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper from El Oso, the second cigar released by Warped Cigars.
This accident no doubt caused Jose some frustration at the time, because that batch of 600 cigars were then shelved and forgotten for over a year. Then, in 2015, Kyle Gellis released them to the public with just a handful of retailers (13 in all) in 60 bundles of 10. That means that if each retailer received an equal amount, they only received ~46 cigars per store.
What is Warped Black Honey like?
This cigar can be summed up in one word: Elegant. The first release of Black Honey matched Jose’s ability to craft a flawless cigar with an enchanting blend of tobaccos. An effortless draw, worry-free burn line, and smooth flavors are just a few of the reasons why people remember Black Honey.

Where can I buy Warped Black Honey?
For more than two years, the only way you could purchase Black Honey was on the secondary market for average prices between $40-$80 per stick. Considering that there were only 600 first run cigars in existence, the amount asked and amount paid fluctuated greatly.
Then six weeks ago, Kyle announced that another batch of Black Honey was almost ready to be released to the market. And the best part? They’re on their way to the store right now and we’re accepting pre-orders!
