PRINCIPLE AVIATOR ENVOI REVIEW – DOM

Summary: Bold flavors of earth and coffee pounce at the onset, but their power is less punchy than I’d expect.  As the smoke becomes weak, a burn correction is required.  Surpassing all expectations, this cigar hits its stride two ash-taps down.  While another hefty touch up is needed, chili and cream hit home.

Halfway down, bell pepper gets tossed in with the chili.  This is a good cigar, but you’ll probably need two lighters and boatload of patience to enjoy it.

PRINCIPLE AVIATOR ENVOI REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brought notes of earth and caramel in abundance, and also cherry and coffee flavors. I didn't find it to be a terribly complex smoke, but I found it to be quite enjoyable.

The burn got quite uneven a couple of times. Aside from that, it didn't give me any issues when smoking.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Balance with a preference for bitter

Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon

Perceived Strength: Medium

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack

PRINCIPLE AVIATOR ENVOI REVIEW – BEN

Summary: A little Espresso. A little Oaky. A little Leathery. A little Salty. And a little drying on the palate. Waited patiently for something sweet to pull it all together but it never came.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Salt and pepper in your grits

Pairing Suggestion: Cold brew with a vanilla pump

Perceived Strength: Medium+

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack

Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
