SERINO ELENOR ROSE REVIEW – DOM

Summary: Mustard on the nose reminds me that although football season is in full swing, there are people out there still watching baseball.  Once lit, chocolate malt and lemon eliminate all clues that could lead back to that mustard note via firing squad (smoke, colonel?).  The lemon note specifically hits on the retro hale in the surprising absence of pepper spice.  While the construction has been solid, the ash must be plumb tuckered out because it begins to lean.

Peanuts add to the rich body as this cigar burns nice and slowly past the halfway point.  Due to the lack of spice, I'd highly recommend this cigar to a novice learning to retro hale (won't make them green).  Fig at the finish flaunts some sweetness, proud as a peacock.

SERINO ELENOR ROSE REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brought flavors of caramel, coffee, oak, cream, baking spices, leather, and just a bit of barnyard. Enjoyable flavors and nice combinations.

Construction was on point; no issues to speak of. Draw and combustion were both good.

SERINO ELENOR ROSE REVIEW – BEN

Summary: Nice size and color but that first whiff of ammonia made me reluctant. A lesson in never giving up sweeps in with a nostalgic church butterscotch candy and toasty goodness. Not far behind is white pepper dancing on the tip of my tongue.

It's kind of flat in flavor and didn't transition into anything exciting for me. In the end, I endured an uneven burn line and a woodsy, yet salty finish.

SERINO ELENOR ROSE REVIEW – TED

Summary:  The front of this stick featured flavors of graham, caramel sweetness, straw, mild wood, and cardamom.  It was a complete winner, except for a slightly tight draw.

Towards the middle it still had a tight draw going on and I tasted mild wood notes, leather, citrus and straw.  The smoke output was also suffering, and I can only point towards the tightness of the cigar.

I experienced little change in the end moments of the experience.  The smoke output and overall muted profile was indicative of being rolled too tightly or being over filled.  Towards the end, wood and citrus with some spices made up the entire profile with some mild pepper heat in the finish. It had truly promising flavors but draw killed it.  I’d try another to see if I can get a better roll.
