XHAXHI BOBI SQUARE REVIEW – CALIFORNIA

Summary: This cigar straight up looks like a USB flash drive.  Two puffs and a flash drive-180-degree-rotation later, the first thing that grabs my attention isn't the flavors but the velvety smooth body of the smoke.  A.C.E. Prime's Fiat Lux has a similar effect on me (which may be why that review was so laconic).  Trying to taste beyond the texture, I get peanut butter on the palate and a homemade corn tortilla brightness on the retro.  Someone get me some MILK!

Flaky ash gets tapped away at the halfway point.  I'm curious how this blend smokes in a different (longer) vitola because I could smoke two of these kazoos back-to-back.  Sourdough bread at the finish.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Hearing the Star Wars Main Title in a full theater.

Pairing Suggestion: Cappuccino.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.

XHAXHI BOBI SQUARE REVIEW – WISCONSIN

Summary: This cigar brought notes of earth, hay, clove, pepper, cinnamon, and an assortment of baking spices. It was mostly dominated by earth and pepper notes, with the clove right underneath.

Draw was right on point. The burn got crooked a couple of times but fixed itself without any intervention from my trusty lighter.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Our planet. But mostly licking it.

Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single.

XHAXHI BOBI SQUARE REVIEW – OREGON

Summary: This is a box pressed Robusto. Nice milk chocolate colored wrapper on it.
The cold draw is slightly open. I’m tasting dry hay, leather, and a little bit of cocoa.  I’m left with a little bit of spice on the lips too. Hot lips. M.A.S.H.

The first section is a relatively creamy mix of walnuts, leather, and cocoa with some floral-ish highlights.  There’s also a slight mineral aspect to the mix.
Retro hale brings a sweet mix of cedar, bran, and cocoa… don’t let me down.  There it is red pepper flake heat.

Construction is A+. Bold wood notes dominate in the middle.  Also, it’s still carrying that mineral note. Retro hale smoke is now a creamy mix of baking spice, bran, and hay.

A decent nicotine kick starts the end portion.  Wow. Unprepared for that.

Wood, earth, bread, and baking chocolate at the end but… still minerally. If that’s not a word it is now.  I like this cigar, but the mineral note I tasted all the way through is a downer.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Issuing spoiler alerts.

Pairing Suggestion: Mochaccino.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
