Charter Oak pays tribute to Melillo’s grandfather, who while earning a modest salary working for the Winchester Repeating Arms factory after WWII, smoked exclusively, broadleaf cigars manufactured by FD Graves on State St, while, no joke, Rick Ardito’s grandfather, a guard at Winchester, also smoked FD Graves biggest selling broadleaf, Muniemakers.

Charter Oak is available in three expressions: Connecticut, Habano, and Broadleaf. Each of these push the envelope in terms of value cigars and punch way above their MSRP.

(Mild-Medium) Connecticut Tasting Notes: Cedar, Graham Cracker, Honey, Pepper, Earth, Leather, Apricot 

(Medium-Full) Broadleaf Tasting Notes: Earth, Chocolate, Cream, Nougat, Espresso, Caramel, Cedar, Walnut
