NEW WORLD DORADO REVIEW – DOM
Summary: The shy cold-draw keeps its cards in hand. After a few puffs, the smoke is clean on my palate (which I think means the body is mild?). Pine tree, non-pine tree wood, and a whisper of funky mango have me quoting Matthew McConaughey. I know I said the smoke was clean, but this ash and burn-line might be cleaner.
Floral notes and wood carry into the second half. Attempting to finish in style, popcorn and Oreo cookie (sans white stuff) make this smoke one for the masses.

NEW WORLD DORADO REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought notes of sweet coffee, earth, red pepper flakes, charred meat, milk chocolate, leather, and cream.
It went out on me out of nowhere once, and the burn was often wavy.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: A bit of spice added to everything
Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon

NEW WORLD DORADO REVIEW – BEN
Summary: OoooooooWee that red pepper and thick leather is strong! Between the first and second halves, a cool-like sensation cleared any signs of allergies – almost like mint.
The second half mellows out and I noticed some mineral notes. The leather never quite disappears. I didn't pick up anything sweet but suddenly I felt like doing yard work while smoking this.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: A little gardening
Pairing Suggestion: Iced coffee w/cream
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack
NEW WORLD DORADO REVIEW – TED
Summary: This stick looks like a box-pressed chocolate bar! Out the gate I’m met by Mexican hot cocoa flavors and a sprinkle of salt. Umami and a hint of wasabi style heat appear further in. The smoke is smooth with a heavy mouthfeel. The whole profile is starting to feel a little chalky on the palate though. Time to chug some high-quality H2O. Great construction with a solid ash.
In the middle, I’m tasting a mildly mineral-ish mixture of leather and cream with umami flavors hanging tight.
There’s a long finish of mild wood notes, cocoa and coffee. Absolute stellar construction and smoke production. Flavors are good, but kudos to the Bunchero!
Finishing this one up and we’ve got a creamy mixture of wood, coffee, and peanuts. There’s just a hint of heat in the retro hale. Speaking of which, this would be a great cigar for a new smoker to learn retro hale skills. It’s mild and flavorful.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Summertime outdoor concerts
Pairing Suggestion: Espresso Martini
Perceived Strength: Low end of Medium

Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
