LAMPERT EDICIÓN 1593 OSCURA REVIEW – DOM
Summary: This well-packed cigar starts savory with salted pretzel. As the ash begins to stack, semi-sweet chocolate hits the semi-sweet spot between cocoa and chocolate milk. Retro haling to my heart’s content, I notice an absence of pepper on the nose.
Rich with nuts, this cigar is smoking like Bruce Wayne. The ash is straight sexy; Batman squats.
While I’m on the topic, the body on this cigar is FULL and actually overshadows the flavors somewhat. Pine tree is the last flavor I pull out before setting down the nub.

Summary: This cigar brought notes of pepper, anise, clove, earth, cereal grain, cream, and oak. There was great depth of flavor, and everything worked to create a delicious and harmonious whole.
Construction was on point in every respect.

LAMPERT EDICIÓN 1593 OSCURA REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Grass and leather notes followed up by black pepper and wood; starts off with a very big profile. The cigar is firm to touch with minimal smoke output. Mostly because of the tight draw. Raisins and coffee beans were a nice touch before sitting it aside.

Pairing Suggestion: Grapefruit Fresca
Perceived Strength: Full

LAMPERT EDICIÓN 1593 OSCURA REVIEW – TED
Summary: A bit tight on the cold draw, however, this cigar opened up immediately after lighting it. There is a super creamy mixture of leather, wood notes, cereal grain, and warm baking spices along with a hint of sweetness… and a slight mineral note. Think warm oatmeal cookies from the oven topped with just a little flaky salt. Perfect draw. Medium mouthfeel to the smoke with a solid ash on the end.
Entering the middle portion and still fantastic. I’m tasting a warm mixture of toast, baking spices and leather with a finish I can only describe as kettle corn. Very interesting and enjoyable. This stick is still performing perfectly.
Final section and we’re on cruise control folks. It’s a warm mixture of wood, leather, and caramel with a sprinkle of white pepper. I’m also tasting baking spices in the finish. The retro hale is slightly sweet and salty… salted caramel.
