Happy Tuesday, folks!
Today, I want to talk about a cigar that has completely captured my imagination over the last couple days: the Xhaxhi Bobi Mi Hermano. It’s charming, sophisticated, and in my opinion one of the best values on the market as I write this sentence. You can literally taste the Kelner influence, and that (to me) is always a wonderful thing.
You can distinguish the Mi Hermano blend from the Baba Jan by the color of the band. Mi Hermano barely slides into the medium category with a red band while Baba Jan approaches medium-full territory with a black band.

This morning’s cigar starts out with sweet cedar, subtle leather, and a mild, earthy finish. A hint of hay and soft notes of caramel develop as well in the first few minutes.
The profile of today’s experience is sweeter than my first Xhaxhi Bobi Mi Hermano, and I’m perfectly ok with that! This beauty is right up my alley. If you also enjoy a walk on the sweeter side of the wheelhouse, I’d recommend giving these a couple weeks rest before firing them up. I smoked my first Xhaxhi Bobi after just a week of rest, but the last few days in the humidor seem to have opened it up nicely. (That’s what I get for not following our own advice!)
Caramel notes develop further as we approach the inch mark, and the finish reminds me of sweetened coffee now. Notes of hay still come and go between puffs, but the sweet side reigns supreme. And it seems that our coffee notes have transitioned into my personal favorite: mocha nuances!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from our Virtual Lounge experiences this year, it’s that milder cigars are much harder to blend because they’re less forgiving. On that note, well done Bob de Goede.

Xhaxhi Bobi is a great cigar at any price range and a truly exceptional experience at the current MSRP. I can see many, many more of these in my future and look forward to every one of them. I'd encourage everyone reading this to visit the Xhaxhi Bobi category and set a back in stock notification to be alerted as soon as we restock them.
I can attest that this blend pairs wonderfully with black coffee and would imagine that a rum like Diplomatico would pair nicely also. On the whiskey side of the house, the first pour I’d line up to try would be the Nikka Coffee Grain.
If your curious, I’m averaging just shy of an hour with each of these so far.
Tell Us! If you’ve smoked either Xhaxhi Bobi blend as well, what were your thoughts?
