Cigar of the Week: Warped Corto

Cigar of the Week: Warped Corto

Happy Tuesday, folks!

What I love about this particular cigar is just how consistent it is. It’s constant throughout the entire smoking experience and every time I fire it up. And since I vibe with the flavor profile, that’s a mighty fine thing.

It’s also the perfect size for my lifestyle currently, allowing me to relax for a few minutes before moving on to the next task. And the flavor absolutely pops in this blend, making it great for the lounge or enjoying it in company because focus isn’t required to discern the tasting notes.

Today, I’m smoking the Corto x46, their 4 ½ x 46 expression. My first impressions are of finished leather, earth, and chocolate malt contrasted with lingering pepper notes. Leather, earth, and chocolate combinations are some of my favorites – and the Corto harmonizes them in a unique way. Here it’s leather furniture with dank earth and whoppers candy on the back end, there it’s gritty earth with a chocolate malt milkshake and a leathery finish.

After a few minutes, a creamy texture settles in as the flavors become more nuanced. Hints of caramel, coffee, and even citrus can be found if you’re patient enough. I say that like a challenge, and that’s what it is! The Corto profile is so good that it takes an iron will to set it down for some rest.

If you haven’t tried the Corto yet, I highly suggest that you seek them out! They’re perfect for those short moments (just like the name suggests) and sometimes you’ll find yourself smoking a couple of them back to back when you have time.

Kyle pairs his with espresso, I like to pair mine with Coke Zero for the carbonation. If you’ve also smoked the Corto, I’d love to hear what you pair yours with!
