DESPOT PYRAMIDE REVIEW – DOM
Summary: The cold draw has a curious sweetness to it like that of baked carrots. Finding a balance between redwood spice and chocolate milk, this cigar tastes like a lovechild between a Dapper Desvalido and a La Galera Imperial Jade. Vanilla bean and carrot cake cut through the spice.
Halfway down, the sweetness becomes coy, though baking spices are present. Hold on to your tropical socks because coconut takes this cigar back into the fast (passing) lane. Maraschino cherry ties a knot on this review.

DESPOT PYRAMIDE REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brings notes of cereal grain, cream, cookie dough, sweetness, hay, oak, and cedar. It started with the cereal grain/cream profile, then moved along into a woodier profile over time. If it stuck with the initial profile, I'd be all in on this cigar.
The draw and burn were both good; no construction issues to speak of.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Wishing things never changed.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee.
Perceived Strength: Medium.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
DESPOT PYRAMIDE REVIEW – BEN
Summary: First time a cigar opened up with dried fruit and baking spices; I do enjoy a good fig newton myself! That understated sweetness from the fig and a bready note on the retro hale is nice. Before I knew it, the ease of working and smoking had me well past the half. Black pepper. cashews, earth, oak, and cocoa in powdery form bobbed and weaved simultaneously. Almost effortlessly.
The smoke output was creamy and overall, the notes were less than harsh. I retro haled 85% of this cigar. Quite smooth and very on par with my usual profile.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: The ease of jazz night.
Pairing Suggestion: Brother’s Bond bourbon.
Perceived Strength: Medium.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.
DESPOT PYRAMIDE REVIEW – TED
Summary: Went v-cut with this cigar mostly because I like the way it looks on a torpedo shaped stick.
Starting with a mixture of wood, floral notes, and graham cracker. A light wasabi heat presents in the retro hale and finishes with warm spices and a light mineral flavor.
Middle of the order brings more wood notes and warm spices. There’s a quick floral finish with a dash of white pepper on the palate. Retro hale profile is a slightly salty mix of wood and leather with a peanut flavored background note.
Finishing up; mild wood, dark toast, cinnamon… and a hint of hickory? Retro hale smoke carries a mineral-like mix of toast and leather with a small amount of pepper spice.
Construction on this cigar was a B. As the cigar warmed up it got a bit squishy, otherwise, no complaints.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Summer mornings playing cribbage.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee with cream.
Perceived Strength: Medium.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
