SERINO TAINO HERITAGE REVIEW – DOM

Summary: The first few puffs intrigue me with salty ‘n’ savory cedar and a cream sweetness on the tail end.  A quick puff offers milk chocolate, but smoking this cigar slowly really opens it up like a flavor book that reads itself cover to cover: musky-sweet stone fruit (which tastes to me like aged tobacco) and Cream of Wheat stand out in the colorful saga.

The sweetness in the second half is out of control, and I’m keeping my hands in the air for the wild ride. Apricot, orange, mesquite, and floral notes make this a darn good cigar.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Tasteful tan lines.

Pairing Suggestion: Rye.

Perceived Strength: Medium.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.

SERINO TAINO HERITAGE REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brings notes of sweet oak, earth, cookie dough, and barnyard. Over time, it adds cocoa and gets creamier.

Burn and draw were both on point and not problematic. It got wavy a few times but corrected itself.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Effortless chillin.

Pairing Suggestion: Coffee.

Perceived Strength: Medium-

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.

SERINO TAINO HERITAGE REVIEW – BEN

Summary: Opened up with black pepper headed straight for the back of my throat. It's a little salty. About an inch in there was a lovely espresso bean and dry wood but the combination has me reaching for water to quench my thirst.

The second half offered a natural tobacco sweetness, almost like a bitter 85% cacao. My tongue tingles from something I can't identify while a fleeting but deep earth flavor lays thick on my tongue. It's interesting. The profile stays much of the same until the end.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Steak dinner.

Pairing Suggestion: Scotch.

Perceived Strength: Medium.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.

SERINO TAINO HERITAGE REVIEW – TED

Summary:  Beginning notes include wood, cinnamon, leather, and a faint hint of cherry. There’s an overall very mild sweetness to the whole mix. The wrapper on the cigar is the perfect combination of oily and toothy; not too much of either. The retro hale smoke is a very warm and smooth mixture of wood, toast, and mild white pepper. There’s a slightly sweet finish in the retro hale too. Not infused, just natural and pleasant.

Burning nicely; lots of smoke and some profile changes. Warm cedar flavors accompanied by strong coffee notes and a bit of hickory as well. Exit sweetness, enter a bit of mineral flavor in the finish. No biggie. This stick is on a roll.

Into the finish and things are still cruising nicely. “Mega-pints” of smoke full of BBQ smoke flavors, pepper, wood, strong coffee, and a long finish of spiciness. There are some straight tobacco notes showing up, but the end is so nice, I’m not struck poorly by it.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Watching the MLB Home Run Derby with some crispy boys.

Pairing Suggestion: An ice-cold Stella Artois.

Perceived Strength: High end of medium.

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.
