LAS CALAVERAS 2020 REVIEW – CALIFORNIA
Summary: After lighting up, I'm getting cedar with a pine sharpness to it. Peanut and floral notes step into the forest after a touch up.
Honey sweetness kicks off the second third. If I were a betting man, I'd say that this is Aganorsa tobacco. Viaje maybe? Gotta shoot your shots.
A few more minor burn corrections were required entering the final third. The sweetness continues to escalate and I'm about it. What the heck? Mint! Now that's what I call a digestif. Solid smoke.

LAS CALAVERAS 2020 REVIEW – WISCONSIN
Summary: This cigar brings flavor notes of chocolate, brown sugar, gingerbread, hay, cashew, pepper, salt, cedar, cinnamon, and cream. The first half hits like dessert, and the second half gets oakier and stronger.
The draw was right on point. The burn required a few touch-ups after getting quite crooked.
Overall, the cigar was an enjoyable experience. I preferred the first half to the second half but found the entire cigar perfectly pleasant.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Eating dessert before dinner.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Five pack.

LAS CALAVERAS 2020 REVIEW – OREGON
Summary: Green apple scent off the wrapper of this reddish-brown stick. Hay, mild cocoa and some tobacco off the foot. Green apple on the ever so slightly-too-tight cold draw.
Raisin bread, walnut, mild tobacco and some mild red pepper flake to start this ride. Seem to have to pay a lot of attention to the burn on this cigar.
Moving into the middle, bread notes still there along with mild tobacco and some floral flavors as well. Unlike the beginning, the middle has a more generic profile mix.
Working into the final section and I have a nice mouse hole burn starting....and it’s gonna be a chore to fix it. Believe it or not though, the flavors are picking back up. Some cherry enters the mix and the red pepper flake reappears. Slightly stronger tobacco notes and a decently balanced mix of floral and nut flavors. That red pepper flake really shines in the retro hale.
Unfortunately, this stick gets a solid D in construction. Uneven burning coupled with the mouse hole and constant work with the torch were distracting for sure.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Babysitting a 4-year-old.
Pairing Suggestion: Lager.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single.

Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
